Currently...a sale!

It has been a while since I participated in Farley's Currently, so here it goes.

Listening: I just love the show Castle, it always makes me giggle. This week's episode did not leave me disappointed.

Loving: My family LOVES Thanksgiving and having leftovers is a must.

Thinking: I am not a big fan of Christmas but my mom was. Thanksgiving is the holiday I love. My mom died in November. Thanksgiving was hard without her, but Christmas is going to be even harder.

Wanting: My mom died too early, I want more time with her.

Needing: Since September, my mom was needing more and more help. Before this I would post at least 3 days a week, recently I have only posted 3 times a month. It is time I get refocused. I need something to keep me from drowning in my sadness.

Favorite Tradition: Secret Santa - for the past 8 years our family has drawn names and made gifts for the person picked. We always exchange these gifts on Christmas Eve.

Visit Farley to join the fun!

  1. Losing a parent is hard. I don't care what the circumstances were, or how old you are. It is hard. Refocusing is a good thing, but don't forget to give yourself permission to grieve. I cried a lot in the shower! Still do, but not as often. Thank you for sharing your gifts with others, and for being brave enough to open up. Big hugs: OOO
