Thumbs up Thumbs down #15

Another Thursday, another Thumbs up Thumbs down post. Read here for the back story of why I started this.

I have so many Thumbs up for this week, I can't wait to share.

Thumbs up to my mom. Today is her birthday!

Thumbs up to Julie over at Fun, Fabulous Firsties and her Hands on Place Value Post. It is full of great place value ideas and pictures. I definitely picked up a few ideas from her!

Do you ever have the problem of having ALL your kids want to read the book you just used for read aloud? If so, Hilary at Second Grade is Out of This World did a Thumbs up post about Book Raffles which deals with this problem.

Miss Trayers at Not Just Child's Play has a great post about a class book they made called Changing the World. Her kids did a fantastic job with their writing and ideas, you should really go read how her little kiddos will "Change the World". This is definitely a Thumbs up idea!

Miss Pam at Chalk and Slate has a post called More Action! It is all about the enthusiasm and "spirit of inquiry" that her students demonstrated while working on their Solar System unit. You should go see all the work her students did, Thumbs up!!

Thumbs down to those TpT buyers that rate sellers low because they cannot print the document. Really? it is a computer problem (and usually on their end) not a problem with the quality, of the item itself! And, there is a place for you to ASK A QUESTION, why don't these buyers ASK before they rate...I am pretty sure about 99.9% of the sellers will go out of there way to help you get the product downloaded. The ratings shown are all because this person had trouble printing...UGH!

This is for my good bloggy friend Barbara at The Corner on Character , Thumbs down to drunk drivers! Barbara is recuperating from a terrible head on collision (her car pictured below) with a DRUNK DRIVER. She is thankfully doing very well and I think, should be back at school soon. Barbara, still sending you lots of positive healing thoughts!!
