Which artwork is cuter?

I need your help!!

I am in the middle of creating my next packet of activities for the book Will You Be My Valentine? by Steven Kroll and both my daughter and I drew Gretchen and Thomas. She thinks her characters are cuter than mine {they are pretty cute}, but I can't help but be partial to mine {even though it looks as if Thomas has the top of a strawberry on his head}. So to clear things up I thought I would put it to a vote...and you are the lucky voters! So leave me a comment on which art work I should use, Kelsey's or mine! Thanks for your help in picking the cutest Thomas and Gretchen!

Thanks,

    1. Hey Lisa,
I am going with Kelsey's art, she actually is the artist in the family. She goes to an art high school and is in an AP Art Studio class right now. Kelsey has done all the art for my projects {except Froggy...I drew him}. I am trying to convince her that she can make some money creating cute art and selling it on line, especially since there are no part time jobs available for her. I think all the "votes" for her are helping...now she just needs to find the time. Thanks for taking a minute to comment!

  2. They are both cute but I like the bottom one better. I am so sorry if it is not yours... In the top picture, I am not crazy about the girl's hair.

    1. Hi Cecelia,
The bottom art was mine...you are the only one that liked it but I think I am going with Kelsey's art. Kelsey has done all the artwork for my projects {except Froggy...I drew him} but she was too busy and I couldn't get her to draw for me. Once she saw what I drew she sat down and did her art {and I agree with you about her hair!}. Thanks for taking a minute to comment!

  3. How about using one boy or girl from yours and one boy or girl from hers? They are both cute!

  4. Kelsey's boy is so cute! But come on Mom! Your boy looks like a turnip, and Kelsey, your girl looks like she's an electrocuted hairbrush!

  5. I must say I am partial to your daughter's. But I just love kid artwork! I really love both of black and white graphics best.

  6. I think you're both quite talented, but I think I'd probably have to vote for Kelsey's. I think he needs sleeves.

  9. I think they are both cute! I'm impressed that you can both draw.My students can draw better than I can. :) What program did you use to create your own graphics?

I can't wait to see what you come up with!

    1. It looks like I am going with Kelsey's art. She has actually done the art for all of my projects {except Froggy...I did him}. We draw them by hand, scan them in and then work on them in Photoshop. Once done I turn them into .jpeg and .png. Thanks for taking a minute to comment!

  10. I'm going to go with Kelsey's (even tho yours are stinkin' cute!) just because it would SO honor your girl and her work. Is that wrong? Sometimes maybe I'm tooooooo kid-focused . . . is that possible? Hi, my name is Barbara and I'm an enabler . . . seriously, yours are AdOrAbLe, too!!!

ps. I didn't know that author had a Valentins book . . . didn't he write Jungle Bullies?? Thanks for another lead!!

I am trying to get her to see that she has the ability to make money without actually getting a part time job {which there are none} by creating artwork and selling it. I am glad everyone picked her stuff, now maybe she will think more seriously about it!
